Recruitment Process and Syllabus for Calcutta High Court DEO

Candidates shall undergo –
Phase- I : A competitive test on

  1. Computer proficiency
  2. General Knowledge
  3. Mathematics and
  4. English language.

This test will be OMR based/Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be 50 (fifty) questions each having 02 (two) marks. Total marks would be 100 (hundred). There will be 02 (two) marks for each right answer, while 01 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The duration of the Phase- I examination will be of one (01) hour. The pass-mark of Phase-I examination will be 40 (forty) marks.

The marks obtained in the Phase-I examination would not be carried forward in the subsequent phases.

Phase- II : Successful candidates of Phase-I examination will be required to undergo a data entry speed test (key depression test). Total marks of key depression test will be 400 (four hundred).

Phase- III : Shortlisted candidates of Phase-II examination will be called for Interview/Viva-voce. The total marks of Interview/Viva-voce would be 100 (hundred).
